Program Information

Baseball Divisions

Tee Ball/Instructional
Tee Ball is the entry level division for players ages 4-7. The experience is grounded in fun, fitness and fundamentals while also being a key to growing a child's love for the game. The Tee Ball Division is co-ed and a noncompetitive division. A score is not kept for games. Players are challenged by hitting off of the tee or soft tosses by the coach. Best for kids who have just began playing or have never played in the past. 

 Practices are held once a week and games are Saturday mornings. 

Age 4-7

Minor League - Coach Pitch Baseball
The purpose of the division is to further the players fundamental skills and knowledge of the game.  Players will be introduced to hitting live pitches from the coach, base running and more advanced defense skills.  This is an intermediate division where the catcher position is introduced, basics are established and prepare players for the kid pitch division. No strike outs and no stealing.  Best for kids who have some experience.
*If your 5yo child has played 2 years of tee ball and you would like to move them up early, please reach out to their coach/board member. 

Practices are held once a week and games are Saturday mornings. 

Ages 6-8

Minor League - Player Pitch Baseball
The next level up from Coach Pitch baseball. At this level the basics and fundamentals are being heavily practiced. Kids will be transitioning from instructional baseball into a more competitive classic baseball. Kids pitch from the mound, score is kept, limited steals and walks to speed up the game.

Practices are held at the coaches' discretion and there are two weekly games typically on Tuesdays & Thursdays. 

Ages 7-11

Major League Baseball
Majors uses official Little League rules and is the final step before Middle School & High School baseball. This division uses a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. 

Practices are held at the coaches' discretion and there are two weekly games typically on Mondays & Wednesdays.

Ages 9-12 


Junior League Baseball
Juniors use official Little League rules. This teenage division uses a conventional 90-foot diamond with pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. While this age division includes 12 yo, Quaboag Valley Little League gives 13 and 14 yo players priority over 12 yo. Invitation only for players aged 12.

Softball Divisions

Coach Pitch Softball
Softball Coach Pitch is the next step up from Tee Ball and is an intermediate phase before kid pitch Softball.  Coaches pitch from the mound, no strike outs, no stealing bases.

Ages 6-8  

U10 Softball
Kids pitch from the mound with limited steals and walks to speed up the game.
Ages 8-10

U12 Softball
Uses official Little League Softball Rules.
Ages 10-12

U14 Softball
Uses official Little League Softball Rules.
